BEAUTY OF DECAY

The “Beyond Death” photography series is a body of work that aims to create visual presentations of time passing. I photograph the process of flowers decaying, fading away, just like everything else that surrounds us, including oneself. To me, these photographs are reminders that beauty can result at all stages of the life cycle. The work addresses the cultural bias about flowers: that their beauty ends when the wither. This series includes 18 flower that were photographed in the stages of decaying over one month period.
